CODE OF CONDUCT to be followed by ALL students of EVEREST ENGLISH SCHOOL
(PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)
The following CODE OF CONDUCT is introduced in order to provide all our students and parents/guardians with opportunities to learn the school rules and fulfill them accordingly. All students and parents/guardians are advised to go through the rules put under different headings and sign in the space provided at the end of the page.
The school is committed to achieving academic excellence. Therefore, we believe that we all have our responsibility to make strengthen the school’s teaching and learning. We want our students develop appropriate manner, behavior and positive attitude to other people. These can be achieved only when school rules are strictly followed:
- DRESS CODE :
- All students are expected to ATTEND their SCHOOL class from Sunday to Friday in a PROPER school UNIFORM viz. The details of the uniform are given below.
(a) Hair style: crew cut for boys and pigtail for girls; (b) Shoes: Black leather shoes with lace for boys and black leather shoes with a single strip for girls; (c) Socks: Navy blue for both boys and girls; (d) Tie: Navy blue tie with white and sky blue stripes for both boys and girls; (e) A pair of blue ribbon for girls; and (f) Clothes:

- All students should have two sets of uniform.
- No student(s) will be permitted entry into the school for academic purpose without uniform in whatever circumstances.
- ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE TIME
- All students must arrive school between 09.30 to 09.45 hrs.
- Once inside, all students must attend all routine classes.
- No students will be allowed to exit the school under any circumstances.
- All students must leave school premises by 16.10. From Sunday through Thursday and by 14.10 on Fridays.
- EATING
- No student is allowed to go out of the school compound to buy lunch or any eating item.
- No student is allowed to eat before and after the lunch break.
- BREAKTIME
- Short break 12.00 to 12.10 hrs.
- Lunch break 13.30 to 14.00 hrs.
- Students have to remain inside the premises during the break.
- COMPUTER LAB
- Students can go to the computer lab only during practical class.
- Playing music in the lab is strictly prohibited.
- LIBRARY
- Students must compulsorily have a library card and follow library system.
- In the library students must observe silence and read in peace.
- No item/materials can be taken by any student without the permission of librarian.
- CLASS ROOM
- All students must enter into the classroom on time.
- Classroom rules have to be strictly observed.
- Anybody delaying for class by 3 minutes may be academically punished or denied entry.
- Every student must participate in healthy inter-action for successful teaching-learning.
- HOMEWORK/CLASSWORK
- Homework and class work will be given on a regular basic and as per the need.
- Class work and homework will have to be invariably submitted to the teacher in time.
- Students will be asked to prepare for presentation of their work in class.
- MID-TERM tests, TERMINAL tests and FINAL EXAMS
- All students must compulsorily take the above tests and exams regularly.
- Students must try to better their grades and upgrade themselves in every forthcoming test/exams.
- Students will have to clear dues, if any, prior to issuance of exam/test admit cards.
- Deliberate avoidance of term exams will result to being debarred from filling in final examination.
- MEETING FRIENDS AND RELATIVES
- No students can meet her/his friends or relatives/visitors during school hours.
- Parents/guardians should get permission from school’s administration to meet their children or to take them out from school.
- TRANSPORTATION/ IN THE BUS
- All students must behave well and speak cultured language in the bus.
- Bus must be boarded at the pick-up station in time and get dropped back in time.
- BEHAVIOUR
- A very good behavior is expected from students towards their friends, teachers, juniors and seniors. No ill behavior of students towards any will be tolerated.
- If any student(s) deliberately repeat(s) in appropriate behavior after getting two warnings, s/he will be expelled from the school.
- RECOMMENDEDATIONS
- Recommendation letters may be issued to students on formal grounds and objectivity.
- It will be purely based on student’s behaviors, activities, regularity and exams performance.
- Subject teachers may also issue students such letters on the basic of their evaluation of the students throughout the year.
- TERM EXAMS/MOCK EXAMS RESULTS
- Students have to accompany their parents to college to collect their exams results compulsorily.
- VALUABLE ANDUNRELATED ITEMS
- No student is supposed to bring more than 10 rupees for pocket money.
- Bringing valuable jewelleries or items not related to educational purpose/routine subjects during school hours is strictly prohibited.
- School will not be responsible for the loss of such items.
- Devices of communication or entertainment are forbidden in the school premises.
- Forbidden items if found in school will be confiscated and will not be returned to students.
- ATTENDANCE
- All students must attend school classes regularly.
- Students or their parents should inform the administration in case the students are not able to attend any classes.
- Any student remaining absent for a consecutive seven days without valid ground and notice will be suspended from the school and her/his parents/guardians will be called to sort out the case.
- In case of repetition of such activities students will be expelled from the school.
- Any student obtaining less than 80% attendance in any of the subjects will not be allowed to appear in the final examination.
- EXTRA CLASSES
- All students should be ready to take extra classes when they are suggested by their teachers based on their exam performance.
- INTOXICATION and SMOKING
- Smoking and taking alcohol are strictly prohibited. All students are warned not to smoke and drink any alcoholic beverages.
- If any student found smoking or drinking alcohol during school hour or found in possession of smocking or drinking items severely punished. Students will get no more than one and final warning before they are expelled from the school.

And I promise to follow it because it is in welfare of myself and the institution I intend to study. My failure may be subjected to serious punishment. And I hereby sign this document after having fully understood it.
